Two NJIT Research Groups Awarded as Part of $1.2M EPA P3 Program

This recent news (https://news.njit.edu/two-njit-research-groups-awarded-part-12m-epa-p3-program) described how my group has been dedicating to empower other faculty especially those junior faculty and enable interdisciplinary research collaborations. Besides this presented EPA P3 projects, I have demonstrated leadership and garnered a strong track record of securing funding from diverse sources and conducting research in environmental engineering and sustainable technologies:

  1. 2D MoS2-Based Field Effect Transistor Sensors for Airborne PFAS Detection
  2. Zirconium-Modified Mica Coupled with Nanobubbles for Enhanced Phosphorus Removal, Recovery, and Reuse
  3. Effective and Complete Decomposition of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances and Byproducts in Incineration
  4. Scalable 2D Semiconductor-Based Field-Effect Transistors for Rapid and Efficient Detection of Lead Ions
  5. Electrified Membrane System for Chemical-Free Nitrogen Recovery from Nitrate Contaminated Water
  6. Sustainable Recovery of Metals from Waste Lithium-Ion Batteries Through A Green Process
  7. MXene/Laser-Induced Graphene Coated Air Filters for Pilot-Scale Airborne Viral Removal at A Low Voltage
  8. Novel Mxene-Based Electrified Air Filtration for Enhanced Airborne Pathogen Removal
  9. Investigation of current practices and innovative solar panel recycling
  10. Mechanical removal of harmful algal bloom (HAB) in lakes using air micro-nano bubbles from a specialized floating platform
